Sports Friendship 'Fun" Raisers

Instead of thinking outside the box, get rid of the box.  Deepak Chopra

Proposal and Rational.

The task of creating and nurturing sustaining fundraising activities is a vital part of many organizations and institutions. Here’s an opportunity to consider how thrilling sports competition can be engineered to embrace creativity and innovation, providing a new and exciting way in which time-honored sports can be enjoyed by co-workers, alumni, parishioners, students and their family members, club membership, et al, for the worthy purpose of meeting your development goals and objectives.

Or perhaps your organization might very simply want to explore its promise 'just for the fun of it'.

In a non-traditional format of competition, Sports Friendship ‘Fun” Raisers - provided to you in 'turnkey' fashion, ready for immediate use, with complete, easy to follow instructions - is a transformative way to add to a sport that respects individual accomplishment, honors team play and is widely accepted as a cultural monolith among sports enthusiasts, young and old.

This proposal is submitted and supported by the John Anthony George Foundation (JAGF), 501c3.  Its founder, principal and its administrators propose this initiative in fulfillment of its charter to support deserving and/or underfunded youth education and sports activities and VFW relief initiatives, particularly in the city of Chicago.

Objectives and Benefits.

·       To gather participants within their respective venues of play to once again benefit from the physical, emotional and social value acknowledged sports competition can provide.

·       To construct an activity that embraces the thrill of competition for its participants.

·       To engage enrolled recreation centers, park districts, schools, and the like, in one or more of the suggested and supported formats of competition, fostering inter-institutional coordination and collaboration.

·       To honor the importance leisure and sports activity provides, especially as it relates to its role in ensuring healthy socialization among friends, students and associates and in fulfilling the expectations we have of these activities in service of our overall well-being.

·       Careful social-distancing and infection-avoidant behaviors and practices can be easily deployed throughout the course of competition where and when it is determined to be prudent or necessary.
